Founder of Welwythn - a beauty and wellness boutique in Prairie Village, Gina Holmberg, answers industry questions from her career as a makeup artist, to the importance of clean beauty products in her everyday life.
Q: How long have you been a makeup artist?
A: Since 1994!
Q: How do you incorporate clean beauty into your work?
A: Wherever I can! For big events that require major staying power, such as a wedding for example, I still rely on some conventional brands in my kit. I always use clean lipsticks as well as skincare! If I am doing a photoshoot, where I am present throughout the day, I love to use RMS uncoverup foundation as it photographs beautifully. It literally looks like your skin with all of the imperfections blurred out.
Q: Now that the masks are starting to come off, what's your favorite lip product?
A: I am a huge fan of the Kjaer Weis nude collections swell as the new balmy tints from Ilia!
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself - What's your favorite way to spend some time on yourself?
A: I wear so many hats-wife, mom, business owner, freelance artist-––add a home renovation on top of it and its a bit nutty. If I start to feel the walls start to crumble a bit, I know it's time to pull back. It's important to me to find at least one day out of the week where I have absolutely nothing on the calendar. I walk daily. And I am a huge advocate of prayer and sleep!
