School is back in session! With kids getting settled back into a routine, we wanted to offer a few tips for encouraging your teen to add skincare to their nightly routine. It's no secret that teenage skin can be challenging. With teenagers, it's great to create habits, just like brushing your teeth or showering, skincare is a healthy habit - best formed early!
Have you considered taking your teen to an Esthetician? We encourage this! Not only does this help them feel ownership over their personal skincare routine, their esthetician is there to guide them on their skincare journey. This helps you (the parent) because your child will likely be excited to take care of their skin, and not feel as though their parent is nagging them to do so.
Don't over complicate things, keep it simple. If all your teen is doing is washing their face, that is success. One thing at a time. Gradually, you can add more steps to their routine to target specific concerns.
At the end of the day, remember the most important part of this is encouraging anything that helps your teen form a healthy experience with self care!
